Rant and Rave

Headbandgate continues to pick up steam. The racial component has now entered the drama. Remember Rodman- well the Bulls let him wear,do, and dress any way he wanted. Then came Eddie Robinson, Jalen Rose and Artest. They wore headbands in unconventional ways- around their necks and at angles. The bottom line being played up is that if you are "punk" like Rodman ie. white, its ok. If you are "ghetto" ie. black, then its a no, no. Lebron is now supporting Wallace. This is just getting interesting.

The Hawks hired a new coach- I can't remember his name, but i thought he already was the coach. More on this later.

What does it take to get lead attorney for T.O., Michael Irvin off of the air. He has at least 3 cocaine busts that I can recall and then there is his latest flap. Insinuating that Romo has black blood in him through his g.g.g. grandmother "grabbing a stud from the stable". And they canned Harold Reynolds. Though many of Irvin's peers equal his lack of insight, I can't understand why ESPN puts up with him. Send him back to Tom Arnold.

The Sox continue to deny trades they are not making. They have done next to nothing at the winter meetings. Primo(Williams) still seems very angry and Secundi(Oz) is amazingly quiet. The talk is that another playoffless season will be Secundis last. Chief apologist Hawk should also go, he is worse than a domer homer.

The Bears are in need of a bold move-no not Griese for Rex, not yet at least. Its time to let Ced the great get a chance to start. Jones is adequate, but given an equal number of carries Ced can explode! He hits the line hard everytime and is extremely quick for his size. Given 20+ carries, he will definitely break at least 2. He should be in the same position as Rex, but he can't shut up. He is the prized pick of both Angie and Lovie-like Rex, who has their undying Lovie. Ced would have the same except for his mouth, which he can't seem to stop. Jones is a journeyman back who works hard and had little competition. Given the quality line and number of carries Jones has, his numbers are expected. Remember how easily and publicly management turned on Jones when he didn't show for mini camp. Ced is the future, even if only he believes it.

The Cubs continue to talk of spending the lottery loot...and we can't wait!
