Bears Postgame

A sloppy nine turnover game results in the Bears picking up their second loss of the season. Lovie's answer, "We are a good football team. Our record is 9-2." I have to admit, I'm starting to tire of Lovie's attitude. I like my coaches to be angry after a victory, not making excuses after a loss. Even after Rex gave the game away, Lovie firmly stated in his post game interview that his 23.6 quarterback rating is untouchable and he is the quarterback. I'm not sure that Rex should be replaced, but why isn't his job performance based like everyone else's? He further states that they are 9-2, as if that solves everything. The 9-2 record, is frankly, not meaning as much these days. The point has be getting to a Super Bowl, not having a good regular season. I think Lovie is taking his eyes off the prize. Rex is definitely not a Championship caliber quarterback. If Lovie is happy with a first or second round playoff loss, he is wasting all the talent on the defense. In fact, the offense has a lot of talent now as well. Rex needs to be reined in. Put the Kyle Orton game plan back in. Understand your quarterback's weaknesses, adjust to them, or replace him. All the goodwill you built up with your good regular season record will evaporate instantly if you lose in the first round because you couldn't control your gunslinging quarterback.

I'm not serious, but perhaps Rex the King can play the 1st half, then take out Rex the Rookie and put in , God, even Orton .......or how about Henry Burris? Take note : this is not a "replace'em!" call, but @ this point the St. Rita H.S. QB mite be a better bet to get through the 1st round. It'll be an interesting game next week........
