Bears Playbook Preview

This is definitely the Bears most difficult matchup of the season. If they are to pull off this upset-yes upset, they must execute from the following playbook.

1.)The Bears defense must contain the running game. Without this containment, it will be hopeless for the Bears-Brady will cut them up! The most effective way to pressure Brady is to shut down his running game, which the Bears are capable of.

2.)Pressure Brady without cheating on defense. Brady will pick apart the blitz with 8-12 yard passes. The Bears defense is very susceptible of short accurate passes by a confident QB as in the Arizona game. The Bears corners tend to play 5 yards off the receivers. Remember that Manning is out for the game.

3.)Attack the Pats 10th ranked running defense with the Jones running game combined with short Grossman passes. Try to make Grossman stay away from risky deep crossing patterns.

4.)Perhaps most importantly, the Bears cannot fall behind more that 10 pts early. When the Bears play catch up, Grossman is exposed.

It will take very good execution by the Bears and perhaps a few mistakes by Brady for a Bears victory.
