Lessons learned in the Meadowlands

Well, as I stated in an earlier post, the Bears needed a convincing victory to assuage the fears of the fans and boost the confidence of the team. I think they definitely achieved that convincing victory. Even more important, were the things we learned about this team that had been in doubt. Let me ennumerate.

1. Rex Grossman proved that he is able to turn things around, not week to week, as in the past, but make corrections in the same game. This is a significant improvement.

2. The Bears offense was able to play well on the road, and come from behind to win. Another encouraging sign.

3. The Bears thoroughly beat a potential playoff team in the NFC.

All in all, some very encouraging signs that this team is the team to beat in the NFC.

Looks like they are the team in the NFC.............well, this week they do, @ least. The inconsistency is what we are going to have to deal with. They looked great last year, and we were all sure they would get into the NFC Final, but they were suddenly down 60 points @ the end of the 1st q. They may well look like the Da Super Bears rite now, but could easily look like the '69 Bears next minute. Rex did change as the game went on, but im fearful that that goes both ways in future games............we'll see
