Who's ready to join me in saying that they are sick of Ron Santo and the phony Santo-mania that the local media tries to create around this buffoon? I hope they never let his sorry ass in to the hall of fame. The media is collectively grieving today...boo hoo, they did such a diservice to poor Santo. Fuck him and the wheelchair he rode in on. He is the worst announcer that the Cubs have ever had and he needs to be fired immediately so that people can just forget about him.

while santo should be retired from his broadcasting job, and he has milked the diabetes for all they are worth, i do think his numbers get him into the hall of fame.
Don't forget, he played for the Sox one year, and its always good to have former Sox players in the Hall. But seriously, I do think he deserves to be in the Hall. Those Cub teams, although they won nothing, were nearly as good as the World Sox teams of the present. However, the post was so enjoyable to read, I won't quibble.
santo is a bald, buffoon who is shamelessly trying to get a hall exemption because he now has terrible health problems. well ronny, these two things have nothing to do with another and he should be mercilessly mocked for trying to use sympathy to get in the hall of fame.
santo only got 16 of 352 votes in his first year of elegibility! why should he get in now, he is certainly no better.
