Bears Failing to Get Lovie on the Cheap


ESPN is reporting that the contract talks with Lovie and the Bears have broken down. Billick, the Ravens coach just got a five year $29 million deal. John Fox, of the Panthers is making $5 million. There is no way the Bears are going to come up to these type of numbers. Maybe Lovie will be gone next year...

The Bears will eventually pay the 5-6 million. They would never let Lovie go now, it would be PR suicide.

Lovie might be getting too big an ego. Firing Rivera, losing Wade Wilson, going public with his contract dispute. Maybe the Bears should let Lovie play out his contract and see how much leverage he has next year after the Bears go 9-7.
